Murder, mischief, and a corgi with a nose for trouble.

Welcome to the world of Gatsby, a feisty corgi with a suspicious mind and flair for dramatic groans. When his upstairs neighbor turns up deader than one of the DC rats, Gatsby knows something is off. As his human deals with incompetent detectives, nosy neighbors, and questionable alibis, Gatsby is on the case-sniffing out cluse, dodging insults from uppity police dogs, and trying to protect the one person he loves most. This charming cozy mystery will make you laugh, groan, and possibly rethink who’s really training who: the humans or the dogs.

About the author

Angie Nordstrom

A former Naval Officer who, during the pandemic, found herself narrating her corgi’s thoughts, particularly as they pertained to all the drama in her Washington, DC neighborhood.

She decided to combine her love of corgis with her love of cozy mysteries and wrote Dead Men Don’t Drop Treats while earning her MBA at Kellogg’s School of Management.

The Inspiration

  • Inspired by a Legend (with Very Short Legs)

The inspiration for this mystery? None other than Gatsby himself. He might not actually solve real life crimes (yet), but he does stare intensely at empty corners, bark at anyone who dares exist near our front door, and offer withering looks when dinner is late. Frankly, it would be suspicious not to write a book about him.
